The 75 Hard Challenge

I am on day 27 of the 75 Hard Challenge.

You may or may not know what that is but I’m going to share with you all the details.

The 75 Hard Challenge is both mental and physical challenge consisting of 75 consecutive days.

Within those 75 days you:

Go on two 45 minute workouts - one has to be outside

Read 10 pages of a self help book (physical book)

Drink a gallon of water a day

Follow some sort of diet

No alcohol

There is also a progress picture to see how you change

I realized I was getting so caught up in the news and social media after covid hit that I wasn’t feeling like myself anymore. After watching a colleague go through the challenge I decided it was my time to give it a shot. I have no regrets. Also, when we take personal responsibility for our health and our happiness, we get to give back to others. We get to be the best version of our self. We have purpose.

These are all things that I’ve wanted to do for some time. I have a stack of books that I’ve started but never finished. Instead of going for runs or walks I found excuses. I got in the habit of drinking wine with dinner and realized I should be drinking water instead. This challenge opened the door to saying no to the excuses.

The beautiful part of the challenge is you can make it as easy or as hard as you want it. My workouts consist of going for a morning walk and yoga at night. Some people choose to lift weights and go for a run.

My diet consists of no desserts and no gluten. Other people do the Whole 30 or follow a ketogenic diet.

The options are endless.

And it’s FREE!
